Article deletion and restore
[edit]Why was this article ever deleted ? He's is worldwide one of the main players in the field of malacology. The article has clearly established his notability. JoJan (talk) 09:39, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- The issue was not one of notability but of a lack of references. I was going to add inline references but was, and still am, waiting for a response to my earlier question and concerns about the copyright status of the text (and possibly the image) that has been restored. (See User_talk:Indici and, if possible, the comments on the original version of this page). KenBailey (talk) 14:38, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- That's one of the reasons I contacted you : to find out if there were any other issues. I've now removed most of the copyrighted material as non-essential. I rewrote a few paragraphs and I've added some new material and many references. I think this should do. JoJan (talk) 15:44, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- That seems like a good outcome to me. Thanks. KenBailey (talk) 16:05, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]This article being largely autobiographic, could Dr. Poppe perhaps write his full name? complainer 11:48, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
