Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on January 11, 2013.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that Canadian band Arcade Fire are the only act to have topped HMV's Poll of Polls more than once?

Retirement

[edit]

For info: I recently e-mailed HMV's customer services, who confirmed that the Poll of Polls was retired in 2013, when the .com team became HMV Retail Ltd. Their nearest equivalent currently is their in-house top 10 albums of the year (e.g. 2013, 2014), but these are quite clearly compiled very differently to the Poll of Polls, so I don't think it would make much sense to include them.
