Style cleanup?

[edit]

There are some items that read too much like a press release or public relations item. The "instruments" listing mentions the brand and type of strings he uses, and the brand and model of his amplifier/speaker cabinet, which may be considered a "product placement" entry. The "Continuing Session Work" entry is in particular need of attention. It mentions his life in Israel (and the children's book written by his wife), but it doesn't refer to much of his current recording session work. 2001:558:6016:33:78CD:ADFA:488A:A536 (talk) 04:13, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think much of the prose has a style issue, starting with the lede: WP:NPOV for "music scene that was crackling with activity" and "first boost to fame"; elsewhere the tone is too informal e.g. "folkie-electric sound" or "harder, in-your-face electric sound." Really, when I read it, it seems written from a fan's point-of-view and not what one would expect from an encyclopedia. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 16:11, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
