Renamed?
[edit]An editor left the following message on the article page twice:
According to google maps the Hay River is known as the Moore river now: https://goo.gl/maps/uTuAWnXysp42
Google Maps does indeed say this but also marks Wilson Inlet as Harding River. I'm assuming that google maps has got it wrong but just wanted to at least ask if anyone knows if the river has been renamed (I can't find anything online about it).Hughesdarren (talk) 04:37, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Since the Moore River still flows into the ocean at Guiderton and given the Landgate Geographic Names Committee's policy on topographic feature name duplication (" .... shall not be duplicated") this seems highly implausible.John beta (talk) 03:31, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
I see Google Maps currently has Roebourne sitting on the banks of the Murchison River and the Harding River Dam on the Gascoyne River.John beta (talk) 04:08, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
