Bloated, coatracked, Americo-centric and full of waffle
[edit]This article is, quite frankly, a disgrace. It has clearly been edited by health professionals more concerned with promoting their field than in actually providing encyclopaedic information in a discrete and digestible form. It needs a lot of attention to render it into a useful article worthy of Wikipedia. I hope interested editors will attempt to clean out the bloated tables, coatrack biographies, and provide succinct content, support by sensible citations. Nick Moyes (talk) 19:34, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Absolutely, Nick. Full of unnecessary, intricate detail that would frustrate any reader. Whole texts copied and pasted in. I am pruning with a very heavy hand right now. Ifnord (talk) 19:37, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Brilliant, Ifnord. I went back to the article after posting these observations here and was delighted to find you'd already pruned out a vast amount lot of pointless stuff. Synchonicity! To be frank, I am incredulous that such a worthy topic had been hijacked and bloated in this way. @PhDMCHES: thank you for also removing content, but please also delete the unwarranted ® symbols you've recently added to the MCHES and other organisations. There are also too many mentions of these, and if you are connected with the 'Master Certified Health Education Specialist', please ensure you declare your Conflict of Interest on your userpage, or in edit summaries before you continue editing. To all other future contributors, please remember this encyclopaedia is read across the world. Anything describing how one county's health education processes operate needs to make it abundantly clear where in the world they're describing - none of us are mindreaders. Nick Moyes (talk) 19:50, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
@Ifnord:@Nick Moyes:Thank you both for not biting the newcomer. I understand that there are substantial problems with this page and am working to triage and repair the damage. PhDMCHES (talk) 20:06, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- @PhDMCHES: Great stuff. I'm no expert on these topics (having somehow magically arrived here by accident after worrying about an autobiography apparently all about Harrison Carter). I am, however, a Host at our Teahouse, so if you have any general problems, do feel free to ask for help there. I'll leave you a 'welcome message' with a few links in a moment ... but do please quickly address any WP:COI issue before someone else jumps on you. It's no crime - we just need clarity, and to be sure that there's no suggestion of a shared or promotional account being used. Cheers, Nick Moyes (talk) 20:13, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

Added Section for SDG
[edit]Hello again,
I have added another section of Health Education pertaining to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. It might need elaboration or evidence to support it in the future.
- Added Section ""Health Education and Sustainable Development Goals""
Health Education is crucial in working toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) created by the United Nations (UN). The UN created these goals in the hope that there will be motivation in following “a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.”[23] By increasing Health Education implementation, it contributes to bringing awareness and learning to individuals, creating an understanding of the significance of international health and well-being.
Thank you!
