Opening heading
[edit]Hi. This is totally incorrect. Salernitana and Salerno Calcio are two different football teams. Salernitana still exists but as a club in bankruptcy. Salerno Calcio is a brand new football club. They can't even legally use coat-of-arms, symbols and colors of Salernitana. The result of the proposal was Move per request - No objections. Neelix (talk) 21:10, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Salernitana Calcio 1919 → Salerno Calcio – As a standard de facto here, all teams which aren't able to join their league due to financial default are renamed to the name of the new society taking their place n tiers down. Examples are Salernitana calcio (back in 2005 when Salernitana Sport went bankruptcy), Nuova Cosenza Calcio (instead of Cosenza 1914), A.S. Avellino 1912 (when US Avellino was excluded back in 2010), S.S.D. Città di Brindisi (instead of Brindisi 1912) and so on. Here there's the full list of teams admitted to Italian Serie D 2011/2012 [1], here there's the exclusion of Salernitana Calcio from Lega Pro I divisione by FIGC [2]. BTW I wasn't able to detect an official site for the Salerno Calcio club ... salernitana.it belongs to the excluded society ([3], Antonio Lombardi was the owner of the escluded society), therefore it doesn't count here --Juanm (talk) 16:28, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
