[edit]Minor update to article [1]- couple of points
- The data in http://locosheds.co.uk/ appears good, but the map references are way out in the examples I saw - so I added my own.
- I think the lead might neeed rewriting - I changed it to reflect update - but haven't done a good job.
- The new thameslink depot needs more info - I think the original plan was rejected and Three Bridges ended up getting a much better depot, whilst Horsney got a smaller one - that may be best left to a separated article.
- Can someone start the Bedford Caudwell depot article??
- I think the current title Hornsey Electric Multiple Unit Depot should be a redirect, given that it was once a steam depot - maybe something like Hornsey train depot would be better - I will change this if no objections, or better suggestions.83.100.174.82 (talk) 22:48, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- Also - I'd guess that there may be historical photos of steam engines somewhere on wikimedia.commons - if anyone has the skill to find them - please do -not my thing.. Same goes for the steam shed.. 83.100.174.82 (talk) 22:49, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Calling things what they're not
[edit]Why do people feel the need to alter the names of railway locations so that they become meaningless ? Hornsey was was never a rolling stock depot.
Why can't we call it Hornsey EMU depot - which is its current name, with a redirect from Hornsey loco shed, which is its previous name? And for the love of God please don't call it a TRAIN depot. A loco is NOT a train.
If you must call it both, how about Hornsey EMU depot & former loco shed ?
In the meantime I'm going to revert from the ridiculous name of 'rolling stock depot' - which it definitely is not. Dr Sludge (talk) 19:25, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
