Medical Significance section

[edit]

The text wrongly states that horseshoe bats are the "natural zoonotic reservoir" for SARS. While horseshoe bats are one of two bat groups in which asymptomatic infection with SARS-like coronavirus has been shown, they may not be the primary reservoir, and as yet (November 2009) transmission of SARS from bats to humans (i.e. zoonotic transmission) has not been proven. This statement should be corrected. Mudpuddles1418 (talk) 12:12, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have the relevant citation to hand (which I haven't), it's probably easier for you to change it yourself. Anaxial (talk) 12:57, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The taxobox could include the extinct Palaeonycteris. ~ cygnis insignis 15:21, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
