Piping
[edit]@Milkloverfan and UncleTupelo1: - what is with your bizarre piping? The club article is located at OKC Energy FC. If it should be 'Oklahoma City Energy' then use WP:RM to gain consensus to move the article - but do not pipe until such time as that happens. GiantSnowman 11:09, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- @UncleTupelo1: in response to this - I don't care whether or not you use the 'FC' for US teams (although in my experience it is often left unpiped). What I found odd about Milkloverfan's edits were they were piping to display 'Oklahoma City Energy' (when the club is called 'OKC Energy FC'), whereas you changed the team name to 'Oklahoma City Energy FC'??? Which is it? GiantSnowman 11:22, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Think it comes from the club was founded as Oklahoma City Energy FC and all their early articles (and player articles) they were referred to as such there. They then seemed to have quietly, not quite rebrand, but begin to become OKC Energy FC. Let's agree on "OKC Energy" then if you're not fussed about the FC. - Fine by me. Like I said, I have no strong views either way, I just care about consistency. GiantSnowman 14:02, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman and UncleTupelo1: - OKC Energy is just an abbreviated term for Oklahoma City Energy. New visiting users don't know what a "OKC" is, hency why the full name is used. 11:27, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Again - if the correct team name is 'Oklahoma City Energy FC' then use WP:RM to get consensus to move it there. GiantSnowman 14:12, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
