[edit]

We need to keep a digital database of all the G4's Icons shows so that they can still be downloaded after the company goes under. This great show is important for the video game industry and should be available for everyone including video game education institutions. Do we really want all this important visual knowledge to be lost, along with the rest of the unknown inner workings of a developer creating the birth of a new and successful entertainment medium? Well, I think we should be backing up the shows on our computers with TV-IN, DVR or DVB cards so that future generations can watch, and possibly learn to expand it and improve with better documentary shows later on.

While I'm not sure that the network will go under, I agree that all of the shows should put put online, preferrably on YouTube. Allemannster 22:58, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah that's a great idea, but G4 would for sure make YouTube take them down, just look at NBC with SNL. Insaneassassin247 01:31, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are actually a couple episodes available on YouTube right now. Allemannster 14:14, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Michelle Rodriguez ≠ icon

[edit]

Is Icons like those awards shows that make the winner whoever shows up to the show? Do they only profile celebrities they have time to be interviewed? I can't see how Rodriguez is an icon in anyone's book. --Navstar 22:51, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

game makers

[edit]

Hey on G4 originally Icons was to gaming only and now the name has been changed to Game Makers. There are still links going here to things that are intended to game makers could someone clear that up?--CartoonDiablo 11:42, 5 October 2006 (UTC)CartoonDiablo[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Icons revamp logo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Icons revamp logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
