Hardly seems neutral when it starts out with a claim that the goal of Jesuit missionaries was to increase silver production. No one, much less a Jesuit, forced the Yaqui to do much of anything they didn't want to do until well into the 19th and 20th century. This was due in part of the fierce resistance by the Yaqui and in part because there wasn't silver around where they lived. Many Wikipedia have a POV problem when reporting on the Catholic faith. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.3.142.26 (talk) 04:56, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This article was already focused on the Andes, rather than reducciones in general, so my edits reflected that specificity. I think the article should be renamed to "Indian Reductions in the Andes" or others should add content about reducciones outside of this region. I'm a new contributor to Wikipedia, so please forgive my naivety. --Bedhead90 (talk) 17:33, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It seems to me that the best title for this article is Andean reductions. Some people (not me) object to the use of the word "Indian." If I don't hear any objections, I'll change the title. Smallchief (talk00:56, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
