The "robogadget" was a actually based on a specific episode from the cartoon, where Dr. Claw's robot look-alike commits crimes and Gadget goes to jail (thinking it is Chief Qumby's strategy). Dr. Claw then proceeds to have Gadget busted out of jail so it can appear that he kidnaps the Shah. I think if the cartoon fans had been real die-hards, they might have remembered this episode and found the robogadget more appealing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.237.231.202 (talk • contribs) 00:32, 24 August 2006
The movie was shot in Pittsburgh. This is obvious during the bridge fight (on the Roberto Clemente Bridge) and when the cops arrive to arrest Claw and their cars say "Pittsburgh P.D." Does anyone know if any of the characters mention the city though? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.237.231.202 (talk • contribs) 00:32, 24 August 2006
I live in Pittsburgh and I have been to all of the places in the movie. This is one of my favorite movies by the way. They call the city Riverton in the movie, probably to represent the 3 rivers that meet in Pittsburgh.--Irish rover23:49, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In the 1999 film, Inspector Gadget uses the phrase "Wowser!". During the original animated series, Inspector gadget would say "Wowsers!" ~~Tend60 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tend60 (talk • contribs) 04:01, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
IMDb isn't a reliable source, mainly because it doesn't source its "facts". So I would expect another source to be used, instead of just being lazy and using IMDb. Classicalfan2 (talk) 21:22, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
