18/08/08 - OFFICIAL: LYNCH QUALIFIES FOR SHOW JUMPING FINAL

[edit]

IRELAND'S Denis Lynch and Flaminia Straumann's gelding 'Lantinus' have qualified for the Olympic Individual Show Jumping Final on Thursday August 21. After today's (Monday) third qualifying round Lynch had accumulated a total of eight faults, and is equal eighth in the points table. The top 35 riders go through to Thursday's two-round final. The points table after three qualifiers is headed today by Norway's Tony Andre Hansen on three faults. The Individual Final will begin at 12.15 Irish time on Thursday, with the top 20 riders from the first round then going forward to the medals round, which starts at 3.10pm. ALL RIDERS IN THE FINAL START WITH A ZERO SCORE - Culnacréann-(talk) 19:54, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Talk pages are for discussing changes to articles, and the relevant table already reflects Lynch's qualification for the final. Is there some other change that you think needs to be made? Guliolopez (talk) 10:55, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Need for clarity re. Ireland/ROI

[edit]

Can we find some way of clarifying that the "Ireland" in question is the ROI Olympic team and not an all-Ireland team? I've added "representing Repiblic of Ireland" in brackets, but Vintagekits is edit-warring. Mooretwin (talk) 14:51, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!. --Vintagekits (talk) 15:23, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RTÉ

[edit]

Does it entirely matter whether we write it as Radio or Raidió, since the links themselves are pipe links to the article which now resides at Raidió Teilifís Éireann, which in both instances is referred to as RTÉ. All that's really being done is changing whether or not a redirect to the proper article needs to happen or not. TheChrisD RantsEdits 14:36, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In terms of this article, not enormously; it terms of the fact that someone has instructed a bot to make >5000 edits, many of which are highly anachronistic, very much so. See talk at the RTE article. Kevin McE (talk) 17:18, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
