@Nikkimaria: Find a grave is a common template for external links and it is included in wikidata, when it's not added it creates a file mismatch. Please discuss here, I will add I am not using it as a citation. Jooojay (talk) 01:59, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jooojay, as indicated at Wikipedia:External_links/Perennial_websites#Find_a_Grave it should be included rarely and only when it provides something unique. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:01, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nikkimaria: also see Template:Find a Grave, yes it does provide unique data to have this find a grave external link, including images of the subject, extended family information and place of burial. I am not seeing the issue on having this link in an external link? It's clearly not a source/citation. Jooojay (talk) 02:10, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The extended family information etc is user-generated content, and images of the subject are available elsewhere (including in other links in the article). See WP:ELNO. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:15, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And what about the image of the grave? WP:ELNO has no relevance to Find a Grave, since it is not a social media website, not a blog, it does not promote anything and is not a fully user generated website (much like IMDB). Jooojay (talk) 02:19, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That link does not include an image of the grave, and WP:ELNO is relevant to all external links. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:31, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Nikkimaria: I am not seeing what about WP:ELNO applies to your revert - and you have not specified here. I am seeing unique data here. I am not trying to be difficult, I need clarity and don't understand why you would revert this edit and then go on to follow all of my other recent edits to revert them too, without finishing this discussion on the talk page. The image of the grave for Find a Grave is pending. Perhaps someone else can make a decision on this? Jooojay (talk) 02:45, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Relevant components include ELNO#1 (what content does the link include that would not be in this article if it were to be featured?) and #11 (user-generated content). You're welcome to bring the issue to the external links noticeboard, but this site was discussed recently and disfavourably. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:49, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the links, Nikkimaria. I don't follow this logic of ELNO#1, but I see the conversation now and I see that I am not alone in this. Jooojay (talk) 03:01, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
