"No known portrait" (error?)
[edit]The article says no known portraits of Ludlow exist, however there is a portrait on the Ohio History Center blog purportedly of Ludlow. --Calumnies (talk) 13:51, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- It seems that the picture in the archaeology blog is actually of Jonathan Dayton, friend of Ludlow. See: http://greensleeves.typepad.com/berkshires/2010/03/of-patriots-and-patronage-more-evidence-that-my-revolutionary-ancestors-knew-how-the-game-was-played.html ... or this illustration: http://www.artworkoriginals.com/EB5SCLK6.HTM . the footnote in Steele's book from Ludlow's grandchildren is more reliable than someone plucking an illustration off the internet for a blog 200 years later. Widow (error?)
[edit]It says Ludlow's widow, Sarah, later married David McLean. However, in this source, she married David Risk! Gilliam (talk) 10:54, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Actually the article says Ludlow married Charlotte Chambers, and does not mention her re-marriage. It does say his daughter, Sarah, later married McLean. No error as far as I can tell. Roseohioresident (talk) 03:18, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for correcting that. I knew something was amiss; sorry for the error.- Gilliam (talk) 03:45, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
