Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Jack Sparrow. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Photos

[edit]

The photos for the pages Will Turner, Hector Barbossa, Cutler Beckett, Davy Jones, Elizabeth Swann, and Jack Sparrow need to be updated. Most of the photos are of extremely poor quality and do not look good. The others just need updating, it's been years. I tried doing it but my edits were reverted. Capin' Jack (talk) 19:09, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I'm concerned all of the pictures are accurate and good enough. They all comply with wikipedia standards and guidelines, I don't see a need to update.★Trekker (talk) 19:45, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's time for the photo to be changed. I tried updating a while ago but my changes were reverted. Capin' Jack (talk) 10:45, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been outdated. It has several unsourced statements while the reception section are sourced mostly from clickbait and listicles articles. 2001:4455:602:B200:B07D:74E0:ED2:2231 (talk) 12:57, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Alcoholism?

[edit]

Would anyone here call Jack Sparrow an alcololic? I've seen a lot of places saying he is, with Fandom categorizing him as such. I just wanted to get your takes. Unknown0124 (talk) 22:01, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unreasonable reverts

[edit]

I recently edited this article at least twice, revising what should be considered accurate information. My original edit was done with the summary "Fixed with who originally wrote what. Film screenwriters vs prequel book nonsense. A.C. Crispin only wrote about the EITC Wicked Wench and had nothing to do with the DMTNT Wicked Wench." In other words, I separated The Price of Freedom Wench with the Dead Men Tell No Tales Wench, because contrary to popular belief, it was never confirmed that they are one and the same vessel beyond online speculation. I also added details provided by The Curse of the Black Pearl Screenwriters Commentary, sourced and all. The original edit was of course reverted, but by being "Unsourced"? An odd excuse for a revert, but sure, I could add some more. The only part I felt needed further sourcing was TPoF, which I added at least one more linkable interview and a YouTube video with Crispin which is a reasonable reference. Edits were reverted again through "Mostly unsourced, and unexplained removals." More confusion, as I wrote: "Once again, not unsourced." If anything, more sources were added here. Nothing was really removed more so than revised with accurate information. If there is indeed something wrong here, please clarify beyond unsourced, because the information is all there. It didn't come out of thin air. 147.124.239.44 (talk) 15:41, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
