Can someone expand on Jaina Solo's Force strength, powers, and lightsaber skills. 06:50 January 19 2006. (UTC)
About her height - when reading books I noted that she was very tall - about 1,8m... And u have that she was small. So what is right?
Qorl
[edit]This article states
The TIE's original pilot, Qorl, was still alive, however, and had lived the last twenty-three years in Yavin 4's jungles.
while Jacen's states
all were held captive by the TIE's original pilot, Qorl, who had been living in the jungle for 19 years.
Which is correct? Prometheus-X303- 11:26, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
removed sections by IP address poster
[edit]There where two sections added by a user which were removed by IP 68.212.82.202. The sections contained information of trivia [1] and sexual relations [2] [3]. They have been removed without a comment. Seems like vandalism to me, so I'll restore them once again. If there is another reason, please state it in the log. Tierlieb 17:45, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- I don't remember deleting the part about her being a damsel in distress, I'm sorry if I got the whole thing, but the sexual relations part was removed because it's false. Page 32 of The Unseen Queen, in fact the whole chapter that page is in, doesn't even have Jaina in it. I don't remember a dream like that in the book, or the trilogy, and the rererence is wrong. I'm deleting it again.68.212.82.202 08:29, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, not problem. I figure, after the "citation needed" craze wikipedia is bound to get even more fake sources. I did not know what was correct, I'm not a big SW fan, it just looked strange to me. The comment helps a lot to know this was not simple vandalism, thank you. P.S.: Have you thought about creating an account instead of using your IP address? Tierlieb 18:51, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
In-universe
[edit]Anyone seriously interested in improving the article should consider adding some real world related info, e.g. regarding the concept, creation, and/or function of the character within the Star Wars narrative etc. Please consult our writing about fiction guideline, which also includes a list of exemplary articles.
There are currently three featured articles on Star Wars characters: Palpatine, Padmé Amidala, and Jabba the Hutt. What sets them aside from most of the other SW character articles is the effort to write from the real world perspective. Pay particular attention to paragraphs like Jabba the Hutt#Concept and creation, Palpatine#Concept and creation, and Padmé Amidala#Characterization.
Also take a look at Darth Vader, which despite its lack of reliable, published third-party secondary sources features interesting sections on e.g. #Character creation and concepts and Darth Vader as a #Cultural figure.
Even though reliable sources may be tough to come up with, any effort to introduce coherently written real world aspects will be greatly appreciated, because it contributes to the depth of the article and accurate coverage of the topic, and thereby makes for an improved reading experience and increases the encyclopedic value of the article.

Removed reference
[edit]The following reference has been repeatedly removed [4]. This contains some references to the Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia and a reference to a description of Jaina from a Star Wars novel. Is seems perverse that some editors wish to restore the unreferenced tag when perfectly adequate references are removed. Catchpole (talk) 15:36, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- This is not a "perfectly adequate" reference -- it is a self-published fan site citing another part of its own self-published fan site. Not a reliable source to provide verifiability. --EEMIV (talk) 15:40, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- It is a reliable source for her description and background and what Star Wars fans find appealing about her. Catchpole (talk) 15:48, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- How so? the policy for using self-published sources (e.g. this fan site) states that "Self-published material may, in some circumstances, be acceptable when produced by an established expert on the topic of the article whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications." If you can ascertain which TheForce.net staffer wrote the "unofficial encyclopedia" entry on Jaina Solo and then point toward the reliable third-party publication this expert has previously published Jaina Solo-related material in, then I'd tentatively accept the material. Then again, as WP:SPS goes on to state, "if the information in question is really worth reporting, someone else is likely to have done so." --EEMIV (talk) 15:54, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
SPOILERS
[edit]I think we should put a notification in the wiki page when theres a major spoiler (Especially the one about Jaina killing Jacen). 98.240.179.225 (talk) 01:05, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Out of Order Refferences
[edit]In the initial "depiction" of her early life, the books listed (Young Jedi Knights Saga, Crystal Star, Jedi Academy) are listed out of order for timeline purposes. Crystal Star would be first (as they were like 6, Anakin was around 3-4) then Jedi Academy when they arrive to begin their training, then the Young Jedi Knights saga where they continue their training at the school and expand on their lives. Any chance we can get this corrected and not fight back and forth on it? Dragonranger (talk) 22:31, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
No, the Jedi Academy trilogy (that's an inofficial title afaik) is in year 11 ABY, they don't begin their main training during this time, since they're much too young. Then there's Crystal Star at 14 ABY, YJK follows much later (23/24 ABY). There's a lot of stuff in between, like the Black Fleet Crisis and Corellian trilogies.
