Plagiarism?
[edit]Is it just me or does this article copy information from IMDb?
No. The information on IMDB is not original information on their part, but rather factual information on someones career. They hold no copyright. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stuurm (talk • contribs) 22:00, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Removal of personal life section
[edit]Hm, when i created that i was mainly rearranging stuff already on the page. To be honest, i don't think it matters so much when that kind of lighearted stuff is unsourced, cos people know to take it with a pinch of salt. What worries me more is the unsourced"Stagecoach" and "Bugsy malone" rumours, which i had never heard, but left in because, if they're true, then they're significant. The only reason i didn't add a "please cite sources" tag, was because i couldnt get one to work. So could someone please link some souces for that stuff?
Chris Beattie
[edit]"for which he was up against rival newcomer Chris Beattie of Purely Belter fame." this is only relevant id they were the only two vying for the award. Anyone know? Amo 17:15, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Picture
[edit]Although the piucture shows Bell in his most famous role shouldn't the picture show Bell now as this is the most accurate and people are unlikely to be searching for Bell to find old pictures. Instead the Billy Elliot picture should be under the Billy Elliot page
- Yeah, I most certainly agree. The actor looks nothing like that now. If anyone can find a reasonable recent image to upload please do.--Jersey Devil 10:30, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Better than having no picture at all, like now JayKeaton (talk) 22:55, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Anyone else impressed by how much Jamie Bell's appearance changed from age 13 to 16 (see Nicholas Nickleby), and to the present? I don't think I've ever seen someone's facial features naturally alter so dramatically in such a short period of time! Still a good-looking kid, just way different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.38.49.5 (talk) 14:08, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Camilla Belle
[edit]The only film Bell has appeared in with Belle (!) is The Chumbscrubber which was filmed long before he met and started dating Wood. Even if that weren't the case, this rumour needs a source...anyone got one?Amo 13:58, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Photo
[edit]I respect the fact that only people who filled the requirements to be able to upload photos can upload photos. So I'm not going to. But It would REALLY be nice if someone could get this guy a photo because he deserves one! Will someone PLEASE get him one?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 0Tigerlily0 (talk • contribs) 04:21, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Correction
[edit]Bell didn't win Best Actor at the 2001 Academy Awards. That's rubbish. I am sorry, but Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell, meet each other in 2004. In 14 of April of 2012, in Evan Rachel Wood Twitter account, a person ask to her: " For how long have you and Jamie been friends ?" , Evan Rachel answer: " 8 years". Then in 29 of April of 2012, while she was waiting to Jamie in aeroport, she said this in her twitter account: " Feels like the butterflies my stomach are migrating into my throat. 8 years and still butterflies". In May of this year, another person ask if she believes in love at first sight, she replays saying that she believes at the moment that she saw Jamie for the first time, that was like lightning. This is the truth about them. Are her own words, i don´t lie. Search in her twitter account in this dates that i write, and read with your own eyes. Ridiculous people don´t believing in the truth. If she said this, is the truth. Magazines don´t say the truth. {188.82.98.231 (talk) 21:04, 1 November 2012 (UTC)}— Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.82.98.231 (talk • contribs)
- Well done for spotting the award year error, I have now fixed this based on what the Academy's own website says (we can safely presume imdb is wrong.) Note that you can make corrections like this yourself if you wish.
- Regarding Wood's twitter comments, her and Bell starting to date in 2005 (what the article currently says) is not inconsistent with her tweets saying that they met in 2004. First they meet, then later they start dating. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 18:30, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
