US centric perspective
[edit]Whilst the page doesn't follow the worst popular sources in assigning Australian successes to the US, it puts too much emphasis on US successes whilst other allies contributing the Japan's defeat are ignored or only features in their defeats. This are most notably the Chinese republican forces and the British Burmese-Indian campaigns. This is where the bulk of the Japanese forces have been engaged snd eventually pushed back. Also smaller contributions from the Dutch or British contingents supporting the US Pacific fleet have been ignored. Yes, the US have the biggest contribution in the Pacific, but the this page is misleading in telling a story that the other allied powers where defeated by Japan and the US saved the day. Not what I'm used to from wikipedia. 2A00:20:56:76F:7866:2742:FB70:EC6C (talk) 20:27, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
Bias regarding colonialism
[edit]The European powers in Asia are painted as colonial powers (which is correct), but the US presence in the Philipines is implicitly considered less bad - why? 2A00:20:56:76F:7866:2742:FB70:EC6C (talk) 20:31, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
- Its more of a protectorate rather than a colony. JuliusPilsudski (talk) 05:45, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
