[edit]I don't know my facts exactly, otherwise I would do this myself but somebody should finish this article. Things to research (validate) and include.
- He is regarded as one of the most accurate kickers in league history
- He is in the top 20 list of most points scored by any player at any position
- Although not many kickers have ever reached the hall of fame, he is a likely candidate. (but highly doubtful inductee)
- Is in the top three all time for 50+ yard FG completions. (I didn't even think that, just heard it from a bobble head)

Some stuff i dug up, since it seems nobody comes to this page, i might end up just writing the article myself, which would make it sub-par considering I don't know much about the history of kickers in this league, except that a "pioneer" kicker recently died and that todd mortenson is old but still wants to play. eRRR .
- he has completed 317-393 field goals (80.7%)
- he has completed 115 of 122 feild goals within 30-39 yards.
- He has kicked 27 50+ yard feild goals, which i've heard must be enough to put him in the NFL all time top 3 (not verified).
- he has completed 426-432 extra point kicks (98.6%).
- He almost tied the record for most consectutive starts for a kicker (unverified) before being sidelined in 2005 (clarification?) Mithotyn 20:26, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- There is only a rumour he offered to kick for the Lions in 2014. Seems neither side will admit it happened, if it really did. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thecesspit (talk • contribs) 22:26, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
