Paul Kagame

[edit]

Obviously, the subject most associated with Bruguière these days is Paul Kagame. While I think this page should mentioned Bruguière's ridiculous indictment of Kagame, it should also be reported that Bruguière has the weakest of all evidence that would never be allowed in a reasonable court: two hear-say witnesses. This has made Bruguière something of laughing-stock among human-rights watchers. Bruguière himself indicted Kagame immediately following the downing of Habyaramani's plane, completely discrediting himself as a judge, before going on a hunt for witnesses. Thomas Thurman and UTA

[edit]

There is no evidence that Thurman produced the proof that convicted the 6 Libyans convicted of the UTA bombing. The evidence can be found in the civil case of Pugh v. Libya in which the relatives of 7 US citizens brought a case against that country. There is no reference to Thurman whatsoever. The details can be found at www.crowell.com Incidentally US security elements used the UTA case as a basis to convict Mr. Abdelbaset Al Megrahi of the Lockerbie bombing. Some sources for a potential new section

[edit]

Hello, I found some sources about this judge. One is a report of International Federal Court for Human Rights and an other is story about a complain against the judge made in a French Tribunal. Both are in French.

1) http://www.fidh.org/rapports/r271.htm

2) http://www.lemague.net/dyn/spip.php?article6786

That can be use for a controversy section about this guy. What do you think about that ? ( please, answer on my talk page )Samuel B52 (talk) 15:03, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
