Tables

[edit]

Could someone please revert all tables back to their former state. Whoever changed this page has created a mess and it says that i cannot undo his/her actions. --Love.Game (talk) 01:48, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Love.Game, I am an experienced Wikipedian and member of the Discographies WikiProject, I have brought three discographies to featured list status before. Please note that the "AUS Urban" charts are a mere component chart because all of Mauboy's releases have charted on the national chart, the component chart should be removed. The current table format is the same format used in a multitude of featured lists on the same subject. The "singles certification" subheading must be placed in the "single" section as her singles have only charted in two territories. Please don't use "Peak chart positions" or "certifications" when her albums have only charted or been certified in one territory. Please don't remove the "auscharts" reference. Please don't make the album text small as does not "complie with the Manual of Style and its supplementary pages" nor does it "make suitable use of text layout, formatting." Please don't use cite "Been Waiting" as receiving platinum certification, the reference clearly states that it has been certified gold, if the album is certificated platinum then the reference will update in a week/fortnight and I will be able to change it very easily. Please, I've rescued the article from stub/start to (hopefully) a featured list. Thanks! Alex Douglas (talk) 02:11, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Singles

[edit]

I dont think there should be no. of singles sold. First of all its incorrect; you are just stating those numbers because of certifications; which is only no. of copies shipped. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.181.93.212 (talk) 03:05, 2 November 2009 (UTC) [reply]

The Sapphires

[edit]

I put this album under the subtitle of soundtrack albums. Why was it removed? 58.166.26.81 (talk) 11:16, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Because The Sapphires is a soundtrack album by 'Various artists' and not by 'Jessica Mauboy'. Oz talk 12:04, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that is true, but the same could be said about 'The Bodyguard', which is billed as a Whitney Houston album, even though she doesn't sing the entire album. And Jessica sings a majority of the songs on the album (10/16). Furthermore, it would be under the subtitle of 'Soundtrack Albums' so as to not confuse with her studio albums. 58.166.26.81 (talk) 11:22, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually The Bodyguard is Whitney Houston's album. Plenty of sources call it her album including iTunes and Amazon. iTunes doesn't call The Sapphires a soundtrack album by Jessica Mauboy even though she sings a majority of the songs on the album (see here). Also, Whitney's discography at australian-charts.com has The Bodyguard listed in her 'Albums' section and Jessica's discography doesn't have The Sapphires listed. Oz talk 12:47, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok but what about the other Whitney albums in her soundtrack discography, such as preachers wife and sparkle. She only sings 2 songs on sparkle and i don't think that album would be listed as a Witney album. 58.166.26.81 (talk) 12:49, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is “Blessing” an official single or promo?

[edit]

I see “Blessing” has been listed as a single and has a reference, but it’s not Jess herself nor her label stating this. On Jess’s social media she takes about it being a pre-order, instant great-track. There’s been no radio, or video or any other promotion of it, and during this time Jess has been promoting heavily (radio/tv/video clip) “Little Things”. Also, “Blessing” is a B-side on the CD single of “Little Things”. I think it’s a promo single only. Thoughts?? Tobyjamesaus (talk) 09:58, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
