Notability

Notability has not been established, Allmusic and Discogs are not considered reliable sources for anything let alone supporting any notability. Theroadislong (talk) 16:36, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This was purely a sourcing problem - he's one of the most influential living musicians in his main genres (bluegrass, oldtime, traditional American folk music). I added a link to Bluegrass Today, which resolves both the notability and sourcing problems.

I also rewrote the sentence on Indian music to be more concise link to other Wikipedia articles -- I think this is interesting to some (a small minority) of people interested in him as a bluegrass/oldtime/folk musician and to very few people interested primarily in Indian music, where he's not particularly prominent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.34.229.2 (talk) 18:34, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
