That has often been suggested. On balance, the community has decided not to go that way, because many constructive editors started off by making anonymous edits, and only registered later when they realised how they enjoyed it.
There are methods of protecting frequently-vandalised pages (see WP:RPP) but that does not seem to be required here. A lot of blatant vandalism is detected and reverted by automated bots anyway. Thanks for catching some more. - Fayenatic(talk)09:00, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This article starts with "… was a prophet of ancient Israel", which sounds like fact (which isn't supported by a reference). Could a statement of whether "joel" was a real or fictional person please be put in the article?
