I had heard that John spent quite a few years in the merchant Navy before he started acting. Does anyone have any more information about this?

Fair use rationale for Image:Nick1985.jpg

[edit]

Image:Nick1985.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

John Altman - musician

[edit]

Little bit crazy the following guy i know has no bio here. way more world famous and influential than eastenders actor of same name. try google like this "john altman" -eastenders and you will see that he gets 70,000 unique hits against 5,000 for the eastenders guy. makes this cyclopaedia look silly and like a tool of brits [okay i do live here].

check this out: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0022903/ and also this: http://www.jazzcds.co.uk/artist_id_8/biography_id_8

Which production of Oliver?

[edit]

Can anyone elaborate on the following quote from BBC News - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7733873.stm?

"When I was a kid I played Noah Claypole in Oliver, the one who locks Oliver in a coffin, so even from an early age I was playing the bad guy".

Which production of "Oliver"? Was it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver!_(film) or another? John Altman would have been about the right age for the film. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.1.176.4 (talk) 11:45, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
