John Nassau Greene
[edit]This entry conflates two people - Senator John Nassau Greene, b. March 8, 1890 in Kilkea Lodge, Athy, Co. Kildare and who died there on February 11, 1973 and his son, Juan Nassau Greene, b. September 19, 1918 in Argentina and who died November 9, 1979 in Kilkea Lodge, Athy, Co. Kildare.
The father was the politician and it was he who married, on October 10, 1911, to Anne Kathleen "Nan" Jackson. They had seven known children. His son, Juan Nassau Greene, married Juliet Elizabeth Woodford Causer on September 14, 1948. It was he who was lauded for his progressive farming techniques.
