Birthdate confusion[edit]

The text gives 1926; the birth cat gives 1959; which is correct?--FeanorStar7 (talk) 09:26, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also says he's in his late 80s but in 2010 cannot be older tha 85 if the date of birth is correct. Frankly, this whole article looks like a joke - one of his relatives was the first lady to swim the Atlantic we are told. He is also listed elsewhere in Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Missing_people) as a missing person which this article demonstrates is untrue. At best it's a mess and should be sorted out - at worst it should be junked.194.72.120.131 (talk) 14:10, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability? WP:ONEEVENT?[edit]

The notability of John Paget Figg-Hoblyn is tenuous, but because this case has been reported in the media for several decades, it meets the letter (if not the spirit) of WP:GNG. He's certainly not notable as an academic, therefore I've added/added back details of the inheritance which brought him to widespread attention. Sionk (talk) 11:25, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How can the first two sentences be edited and added to? There doesn't seem any way to access that part of the article?Kathleen auld (talk) 22:56, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
