Does anyone know anything about the publisher, Page, who also had his right hand cut off? I'm looking for biographical details.... thanks for any assistance......

croquet mallet[edit]

An English translation of Camden's original Latin mallei includes beetle which is described in parentheses (apparently by Sir Francis Bacon) as mallet. The wikipedia article on mallets claims that a beetle has a head diameter of fifteen to eighteen inches in diameter! Most croquet mallets outside of a Bugs Bunny commercial are not like that, are they? I am going to remove the word croquet which is not in the Britannica article, either. http://philological.bham.ac.uk/camden/1581l.html Fotoguzzi (talk) 23:49, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
