Jon Dellandrea on "gardening leave"?

The Daily Telegraph [1] is reporting that Jon Dellandrea has been asked not to return from his holiday due to a falling-out with a major fund-raiser. Someone closer to the action may wish to comment and decide whether any update to the article is required. --Tynwald (talk) 20:11, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am keeping an eye on this. There have certainly been rumours along these lines, but this is the first citable source I have seen. Not yet quite enough in my opinion though. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 20:34, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Philanthropy

Does Jon Dellandrea really count as a philanthropist? From the article he seems to be a professional working in fundraising, rather than a philanthropist in his own right. Perhaps BFD1 could comment? Jonathan A Jones 17:28, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, Jonathan, the article in its current incompleteness does not support that categorization. Further research into his volunteerism over the years through various boards and foundations would really be required before this can be reinserted. Thank you for pointing this out, I thought the earlier unexplained edit removing that label was merely a case of vandalism. BFD1 17:52, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks; there are hints of the volunteerism in the article, but as it stands not enough in my opinion. Jonathan A Jones 19:33, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
