Here are words from the nuclear physicist Professor Eli Barkai. Yeshurun (talk) 16:29, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia Editors,
>> The merits of an article on the academic will depend largely on the >>extent to which it is verifiable.
The work of Jonas Alster was verified in the top facilities dealing with nuclear physics world-wide. This was emphasized in the text, for example we mention there the experiments in SLAC and Los-Alamos. The work of Jonas is rigorous and tested.
>>The person's research has had a significant impact in their scholarly >>discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable >>sources.
The work of Prof. Alster was the subject of a review in Physics Report, that he wrote. Physics reports, together with Review of Modern Physics, are the top two review journals in Physics. Very few people get invited to contribute such reviews. Further, the journal is devoted to the whole community of physics, spanning all disciplines, e.g. Astro-physics, bio-physics, classical mechanics, fundamental particle physics, etc. The fact that Jonas wrote such a monograph is highly prestigious. Further it is a great honor, indicating the scholarly significance of his results and also to his recognition, beyond his specific field. The review in Physics Reports, is of course cited in the page we created (Ref. [4]) and the subject of the report is based on his own work, which again indicates to the importance of his achievements.
Sincerely
Eli Barkai
