coal incline

[edit]

The J. Sutton Wall referrence suggests that the coal incline may have been in operation as early as 1854, to serve the American Iron Works, the predecessor of J&L. In 1854, it was not part of Pittsburgh. This also suggests that it was still operational in 1884. Pustelnik (talk) 23:10, 30 October 2011 (UTC)pustelnik[reply]
