Proposed deletion[edit]

I have removed the proposed deletion template placed on this article by Noq. Eventhough I have explicitly stated I am translating the article from French Wikipedia, a proposed deletion template was placed on this article, apparently because the first few sentences are similar to Joof. I will modify that for copyediting purposes. However, a quick click on the corresponding French article (Famille Diouf) would have shown they couldn't be more different and my translation is not finished, as stated in the edit summary. Joof is merely a list of people with the surname Joof whilst Joof family details the history, genealogy, battles etc. A simple click on the French version (even if one cannot read French) would have demonstrated the huge differences. Thank you. Tamsier (talk) 20:45, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Cleanup[edit]

Unless someone can prove that all these people with the Joof/Diouf surname are actually related I plan to remove everything suggesting that they are and move this article to Joof (surname). Eladynnus (talk) 00:48, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
