Jumping the gun

[edit]

This player has not signed for Newcastle United FC at this moment in time.

Look on the Newcastle website. Sam Allardyce will confirm the deal tomorrow. MrNewcastle 18:21, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The deal is done, should we include the quote from Sam Allardyce saying that Newcastle beat competition from Liverpool and Manchester City?[1] Bathory 16:54, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

His surname is not Enrique

[edit]

Numerous times in this article the player is referred to as 'Enrique', suggesting a belief by the writer that this is the player's surname. It is not. Like many Spanish players he is known primarily by his first name, which happens to be double-barrelled. This mistake is very prevalent among British media with this player and others, such as David Luiz. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.213.131 (talk) 21:30, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On Friday the 12th of August 2011, Jose Enrique completed his move from Newcastle United to Liverpool.

Please change the 'Club Information' to say his Current Club is Liverpool. Also in the section 'Senior Career' , change "Newcastle United 2007-" to "Newcastle United 2007-2011" and add "Liverpool 2011-" to the section.

The source is the Official Liverpool Football Club website. Here is a link to the related article.

Should we add an image of this player in a Liverpool kit?

Jose Enrique Liverpool vs Bolton 2011

As this player is now a Liverpool player, do we think we should add an up to date image of him playing for Liverpool? Might I suggest this one? (for vanity reasons). There are no copyright issues as it is licensed under creative commons.

I know I'm supposed to be bold, but I am very new to this and it seems pages about living people, especially footballers are somewhat contentious, and I thought I'd add the suggestion here rather than go right ahead.
