Requested move 9 May 2022

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page to the proposed title at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 05:46, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

José TreviñoJose Trevino – One of the entries listed upon the José Treviño disambiguation page is American Jose Trevino (baseball) whose name is not accented. As a result, the unaccented form — Jose Trevino, which currently redirects to the dab page's accented main title header — José Treviño, should become the dab page's main header, with José Treviño redirecting to it. This RM contradicts the still-active Talk:Jose Trevino (baseball)#Requested move 15 April 2022 which posits that the American player's main header does not need the parenthetical qualifier "(baseball)". — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 16:29, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Given that only one listing here does not use accents, this seems like giving too much weight to the baseball player, especially given that a Spanish name like this will be written with diacritics most of the time. Nohomersryan (talk) 21:38, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
