I've found the original London Gazette entry for his DFM [1], but I can't find one for the Bar, however the indexing on the gazette website still doesn't seem to be perfect. David Underdown 15:58, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This sentence, claiming that Josef Frantisek is famous as being "the first highest scoring ace in the Battle of Britain" makes no sense whatsoever. If this sentence is intended to say that Josef Frantisek is the highest scoring ace in the Battle of Britain, that claim is contradicted in the following paragraphs of this Wikipedia article. This sentence should be rewritten as "Josef Frantisek is famous as being the top scoring Allied ace in the Battle of Britain".
