Date of birth
[edit]I have just written a Danish article on Kai Johansen and been trying to dig up new Danish material on him. The Danish Football Association's (DBU) homepage [1] states, that he was born on July 23, not February 23 as written in this article.
Are there any british sources on his date of birth? Which date is correct? --Amjaabc 21:31, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- I used this book when writing the article, I just checked and it definitely says February 23. This story says he was 67 when he died, which would mean his birthday would have to have occurred in 2007 before he died. WATP (talk) • (contribs) 21:40, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and could you possible fill in some of the blanks on the English article, such as international goals scored, and clubs before Greenock Morton? I was having difficulty translating. WATP (talk) • (contribs) 21:41, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information. I haven't yet found any reel evidence for a July birthday, only in Danish newspapers his age was said to be 66 years.
- Another issue: His given name is a little uncertain - it is both spelt Kai and Kaj (the latter is found on Odense Boldklub's homepage and in the Danish newspaper, I read). I guess, that his name is Kaj (much more common in Denmark than Kai), but he probably changed it in Scotland for practical reasons. Why some Danish sources (like DBU) use this form, I cannot explain.
- I have filled in some of the gaps on his career in Denmark. --Amjaabc 08:10, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
South African club career?
[edit]I very much doubt the information in the infobox about Johansen having played for two SA-clubs. There are no words about this in the text; on the contrary it is said that he retired in 1970 and took up a career as a store owner.
I suggest that either the SA-clubs should be deleted (and his name being deleted in the two club articles) or reliable sources should be provided. --Amjaabc (talk) 22:34, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
