I may have been able to figure out Greutert's pronunciation
[edit]Using my iPhone 14, I tried to pronounce his last name through the pronunciation settings in Accessibility and I ended up with this IPA and came up with this respelling respectively: /ˈɡru.ˈtɜːrt/ GROO-tərt.
Without a proper source to back this, I don't think this is accurate. But it is my best shot. He's in the r/saw subreddit, maybe I'll ask him in a future (but far-fetched) AMA? green@grenier ~$ sign --now; sudo systemctl enable wptalk

- @GreenGrenier: Yeah, we need an RS. Do you have to access to a disc with a commentary track he's on? If so I bet you can hear him pronounce his name there. Nardog (talk) 01:58, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'll have to dig around in the meantime. For now, the pronunciation will stay up in the air.

02:15, 30 September 2023 (UTC) - Hi, @Nardog! I've finally found a source for the correct pronunciation of "Greutert", it's on this video here: [1]
- I'll feed this through my iPhone's speech to IPA as well as come up with a respelling, and come back to you with updates. Thanks!

- Let me know if this is good enough, and I'll add it to the article. Thanks again!
green@grenier ~$ sign --now; sudo systemctl enable wptalk
15:48, 7 October 2023 (UTC) - Addendum: Haha, you've done it first. Thanks nonetheless!
green@grenier ~$ sign --now; sudo systemctl enable wptalk
15:50, 7 October 2023 (UTC)- Great find, thank you very much! Rather than the GOAT vowel /oʊ/, I hear CHOICE /ɔɪ/, which is what you expect from the German orthography, in which eu represents a diphthong very similar to CHOICE (compare Euler). The pronunciation of /t/ as [ɾ] is predictable in this position so we stick to WP:DIAPHONEMIC, see Help:IPA/English#cite_note-flapping-3. Nardog (talk) 15:54, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Gotcha, will keep this in mind the next time. This was hell to find, and thank whoever's at Fandango because they have it up on YouTube. Hat tip to you too!
