Helena
[edit]There is something wrong; looking at the link of Helena, one finds a woman of different time period —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.253.240.39 (talk) 19:47, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Move without discussion
[edit]{{help}} This article was moved arbitrarily and is now inappropriately named in English against WP guidelines to use known English exonyms, and contrary to articles of all other Scandinavian royals on en.WP named Canute. It needs to be moved back. The user who did this move should also be warned about doing this kind of thing with no discussion and based only on personal POV. The name Knut is virtually unknown in English, compared to Canute, and also poses needeless phonetic difficulty in reading this text aloud. SergeWoodzing (talk) 00:15, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- I have moved it back for the time being, but I'm leaving up to you to explain to the user why he was incorrect. fetchcomms☛ 00:17, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

- This isn't really a help request, it's a content discussion; helpme should be used on your own user page, not on article pages.
- The user does not need warning; we believe in being bold. If you disagree with the move, feel free to move it back; see WP:BRD - and then discuss it to reach consensus; use Wikipedia:Requested moves and refer to WP:Dispute if necessary.
- ...(and, as I write this, I see that another user has moved it back, so that part is done. Time for discussion, if the original mover objects)
- Hope this helps a bit. Cheers, Chzz ► 00:19, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- I am sorry about using an incorrect template and about not knowing how to move things around myself. What this user did here is even worse, even more arbitrary and inconsistent with established WP guidelines. Obvious NPOV problem, as I see it.SergeWoodzing (talk) 00:24, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Lagerqvist ignored now?
[edit]Since when are we ignoring sv:Lars O. Lagerqvist and removing sources from his books? Recent rewrite needs to explain. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 12:01, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
- Lagerqvist was previously used as a source for the statement that Canute's father was named Holmger. This has now been replaced by the more nuanced explanation from Svenskt biografiskt lexikon, which notes that this is a conjecture, albeit one with good support in sources and among historians. As the statement has changed, I saw no reason to keep the old reference. This has nothing to do with Lagerqvist's person.
