When I have time, I will try to translate and add more information about the Gottscheeers. I am not sure if it was a good idea to merge Kocevje and Gottschee, but I guess if we get have a lot of 19th and early 20th Century Gottschee information, it could be split up again.
Cleanup
[edit]This article doesn't really seem integrated and is very confusing. The history of the town should be expanded and the material on the Gottscheer in my opinion requires a separate article. edolen1 17:29, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. The proposal is to split some parts of the article in new articles Kočevje (municipality) (sl:Občina Kočevje) and Gottscheers (sl:Kočevarji, see also Gottschee County). The 'History' section should be generalized: it focuses too much on the history of the Gottscheer community and neglects other important aspects - the history of the city itself and its architecture, the Slovene community in the area and the history of the city after the World War II. Compare with the history section of the article sl:Kočevje in the Slovene Wikipedia. --Eleassar my talk 09:37, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
What disaster overcame this city?
[edit]It does not appear to have any history after 1471. Hohenloh + 01:06, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
