Korbut Flip is not banned[edit]

This article (as well as the article for Olga Korbut) asserts that the Korbut flip is now banned. While this is mentioned in one of the sources cited, that source is a NY Daily News article from 2012, which is not a particularly reliable news source. Furthermore, after looking up several different gymnastics scoring codes, I found no mention of a ban against this move (or any other, for that matter), and all of the sources documenting the ban are from less-than-reliable media sources; I found no official documents or tertiary sources to confirm or deny this. Because I can't prove the negative, I wanted to open this up for discussion, here and on Olga Korbut. Ideally, someone with better knowledge of academic/official gymnastics documentation could provide a conclusive source.Rosguill (talk) 05:20, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please correct me if I'm wrong because I don't know much about gymnastics. But it seems to me that, if standing on the top bar is banned, then this move is effectively banned from the top bar. That may be what people mean when they say this move is banned. I suppose there may be another way to go into it, but O. Korbut launches the move by pushing herself off of the top bar with her feet.
