Hoax?
[edit]The references are spam web sites and possibly unrelated random books, and the category "Hindu goddesses" looks like nonsense to me. Could be a hoax. PeepleLikeYou (talk) 09:45, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- @PeepleLikeYou: I found some travel websites (trustworthy in general) mentioning the temple and the town, along with photos. I think it exists, but there is no evidence out there. See also: Talk:Raichur district. —usernamekiran (talk) 17:43, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
- The village is probably the same as https://www.geonames.org/10466070/peddakurum.html - The name in Google maps (Kurugaddi) is the same as one in the article. There is a temple https://www.geonames.org/10466069/dattatreyaswamy-temple.html where the longer name in Google maps includes Kuravpur, probably another name of the village - other features in the area are in "kuravpur" or "kurvapur". I don't know if Peddakurum is another name for the place, or if Geonames (or Google) has mixed up different place names and locations. GNS doesn't have any other names for Peddakurum (Feature ID 12897184). Paspula, mentioned in the Vallabhapuram article, is Paspul (https://www.geonames.org/10466056/paspul.html).
