Deadly Lake?

There is an article about this lake: Any Animal That Touches This Lethal Lake Turns to Stone Is there any collaborating evidence? BruceBarnett (talk) 10:59, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The headline appears to be an exaggeration. Per this New Scientist article, animals that "become immersed" in the lake do not survive. --Heath 198.82.17.223 (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Variable salinity

Alcolapia / endemic fauna

The last sentence in the Fauna section (stating that alcolapia alcalic is not an endemic species to the lake) is directly contradicted by the intro paragraph of the article on alcolapia alcalic (which is linked in the sentence).

I have no idea which is correct but wanted to flag.
