"Homosexual behavior" not a valid concept in this case

[edit]

All behavior of any kind by a homosexual person is homosexual behavior. For example, a homosexual man who marries a heterosexual woman and has children with her is still engaging in homosexual behavior - it might be a perversion that he married a woman if his real inclination was to marry a man, but regardless of that, his behavior necessarily remains homosexual because he is homosexual. (If you don't believe me, ask the woman he married - if she's willing to answer honestly.) Similarly, if a heterosexual man feigns homosexuality for some reason, he is engaging in a specifically heterosexual behavior called "pretending to be gay" - he's incapable of actual "homosexual behavior", because he isn't homosexual. I'm not sure that this approach is taken by the majority of English-language speakers. For instance, the lead sentence of Gay sexual practices says, "Gay sexual practices are sexual activities involving men who have sex with men (MSM), regardless of their sexual orientation or sexual identity." But in any case, how would you suggest it be reworded? Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:49, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do we have much firm evidence this was LGBT related?

Do we have much firm evidence this was LGBT related or is it just speculation? Immanuelle 💗 (please tag me) 13:12, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
