English wikipedia

[edit]

I voted to keep this article, although I failed to verify the sources, but assuming good faith. However you must strengthen its position. Since it is English wikipedia please provide one of the following:

  • English language sources
  • Translations of relevant quotes from Dutch sources.

Also, some confirmation is desirable that the sources satisfy "reliable sources" policy. Thank you, Mukadderat 23:46, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mukadderat. The sources are from the mainstream newspapers AD and De Telegraaf and the website Nationaal Pop Instituut. The website shows the Top 40 hits that he has had, e.g. You'll Never Walk Alone 26-6-1976, Top 40, 7 weken, plaats 5 (7 weeks, place 5). This is where I got his real name from. This is the source for the "Society Award" (in English in the article), and the last paragraph in this article is the source for him becoming Ambassador of Rotterdam Port ("Ambassadeur van de Rotterdamse haven") and representing charities ("charitatieve instellingen").
