Notability and verifiability
[edit]@Donald Trung: as the creator and primary editor of this article could you comment on the notability of this article? Many of the citations seem to be from unreliable websites or books without page references that are hard to verify, and it's unclear that the subject has been covered in sufficient reliable sources to satisfy WP:GNG. - @Rosguill: sure, most of the information about these charms are from Chinese sources, concerning sources 5, 9, and 11 they're to verify the themes with online sources (as the information is already in some offline sources but in those cases I prefer to add an extra online source so the readers can verify the information themselves. Concerning notability there are lots of Chinese and a few French books written about this subject but not as much in English as per "Sources do not have to be available online or written in English" however the name "Lei Ting curse charm" does come from an English language source and I can't seem to find many of them on the subject. If you want me to use more Chinese sources specific to this subject I could fetch them. --Donald Trung (talk) 07:44, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- More Chinese sources would be good, page references for the English book citation would also be useful.Rosguilltalk 07:49, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Rosguill: I'll work on it, but currently I'm busy with the List of Chinese cash coins by inscription article to which a Russian expert just notified me that the mainstream Western works are wrong and I will attent that first, I will specify the pages now. --Donald Trung (talk) 08:13, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Donald Trung: that's fine take your time, I just wanted to confirm that this wasn't cruft despite the somewhat sketchy-looking web citations before marking the article as reviewed with the WP:NPP tool. Rosguilltalk 16:23, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
