My question is she Jewish? Why isn't religious information added to this since she is listed as a talk show host. We need to know125.25.211.179 (talk) 02:54, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Listening to her show quite often I just don't see her being a true liberal. She seems to be very pro-military spending a lot of the time. I believe she has an agenda to do anything to protect Israel as well. Why is it that other liberal radio hosts don't confront her legitamcy? 202.29.57.215 (talk) 01:27, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1ST PARAGRAPH Leslie Marshall is a Political Pundit and On-Air Contributor for Fox News Channel. [1] She also hosts “The Leslie Marshall Show,” a Nationally Syndicated Radio Talk Show. [2] Leslie also writes a weekly blog column for "U.S. News and World Report." [3] In 1992 she became the youngest person ever to be syndicated in talk radio when she replaced Tom Snyder on the Daynet/ABC Satellite Radio Network. [4] She's been called one of the 'Hottest Women in Politics' by "The Washington Times." [5]

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION Marshall was born in Fall River, MA; home of Lizzie Borden. She grew up in Somerset, MA and attended Northeastern University for her undergraduate studies; majoring in Speech Communication and minoring in Theatre. [6] Marshall attended Emerson College's Master's program for Broadcast Journalism. Both Colleges are in Boston. Leslie's Mother is a Certified Registered Nurse Anethetist (CRNA) who currently is a Regional Vice President for a Medical Corporation that provides in home nursing for chronically and terminally ill children. Marshall's Father, now deceased; was a Jazz drummer.

CAREER Leslie started her talk radio career at WNWS in Miami, Florida in 1988; and, quite by accident. She was a News Anchor and was asked to fill in for the talk host who had become ill and thus, a career was born. Marshall stayed at WNWS for 3 years before doing brief stints in West Palm Beach (WJNO), Milwaukee ( WTMJ) and Cleveland (WWWE). She moved on to Buffalo (WGR) and Houston (KPRC). [4] In both Houston & Buffalo, Marshall topped the ratings of talk radio giant Rush Limbaugh, which got the Network's attention. In 1992, Marshall was Nationally Syndicated for three years. She then returned to local radio in Chicago (WLS), San Francisco (KGO), Sacramento (KHTK) and Los Angeles (KLAC). In 2007, Marshall was syndicated for a second time, and that program is still on air today.

Marshall started her TV work as a Political Pundit after moving to Los Angeles. She has appeared on MSNBC, CNN (Larry King Live), CNBC, HLN and CBS. She joined Fox News Channel as a contributor in 2009.

POLITICAL POSITIONS Marshall is a self described Progressive, Liberal, Democrat and a Feminist. She says she is not afraid to stand against her party and President when she disagrees on an issue. She is very liberal on social issues; she supports Gay Marriage, Immigration Reform and Women's Rights. But, is Conservative when it comes to crime and punishment and supports the Death Penalty.

PERSONAL LIFE Leslie married Dr Asghar Husain, a prominent Orthopedic Surgeon in California, in 1996. They have two children, a son and a daughter. Marshall is very open about having adopted her son from Pakistan, and conceiving her daughter after 13 IVF cycles. She resides in Los Angeles. RELIGIOUS BELIEFS Leslie is the product of a Christian mother and a Jewish father. Until age six, Leslie was raised with no religion; except for a few visits to church or synagogue with her grandparents. Her Catholic mother enrolled her in CCD classes at six and she was raised Catholic until, at age 16, her mother left the Catholic Church and became a born again Christian. Leslie briefly practiced Judaism when she was 19 and then, at age 23, became a born again Christian herself. After the death of a son due to a terminal illness in 2004, Marshall left the Church and Christianity. She believes in God but does not subscribe to any one religion. Her mother is Sicilian and Irish; her father, French, Russian and Polish.

Leslie Marshall (journalist)Template:Move – Leslie Marshall directs here, it should redirect ot a disambig page for all 4 articles about persons of this name E.M.Gregory (talk) 21:53, 5 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose @E.M.Gregory: This request is malformed. The proper procedure would be to create the disambiguation page (if it doesn't already exist) and then make a requested move to the base title on that disambiguation page's talk page. Pppery (talk) 16:49, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hostess

[edit]

Isn't calling her a radio "hostess" racist or at least yodelphobic? Maybe change it to first radio host with a vagina, assuming her vagina can be properly sourced.

are you a communist, you sound like a American way of life hater, you and Harris need to be put in a room and asked over and over if you love russia 32.216.120.200 (talk) 15:38, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
