Missing player

[edit]

I know his was very much a "blink and you'll miss it" MU career, but Manucho is missing from the list. I'd add him myself, but I'm not totally sure on his senior appearances.86.184.165.122 (talk) 01:01, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First competitive match

[edit]

"[…] played their first competitive match in October 1886, when they entered the First Round of the 1886–87 FA Cup."

Newton Heath turned up for the match with several ineligible players, and so scratched before the game; the sides played a friendly, which ended 2-2, making the next game their first (competitive match). Can somebody comfirm or refute that? Gott (talk) 22:39, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's not what happened. Fleetwood were awarded the tie because Newton Heath refused to play extra time after the 2-2 draw. Where did you read the version you said? – PeeJay 01:52, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
