Greetings to all the cobbers and cobberettes;

In the process of linking the digger aces to their bios, I also have red-linked those few notables lacking bios to earmark them for the ambitious.

If I have missed/messed any notable aces, please red-link them also.

Missing aces

[edit]

Hello, again,

The master List of World War I flying aces lacks the names of Albert Ernest Robertson and John Hay. Please post any sources you may have for their acedom on my Discussion page. Sources listing individual victories by date, location, and result are preferred. If they are indeed aces, I want to add them to the list. As self-appointed keeper of the master list, I wish it to be complete as possible.

On behalf of Wikipedia, I thank you in advance.

Gday George. The list is referenced to Newton, Dennis (1996). Australian Air Aces: Australian Fighter Pilots in Combat. Fyschwick: Aerospace Publications. ISBN 1875671250, page 60-61. For detail on Robertson pls see page 54-55 and for detail on Hay see page 37. I hope this helps. Anotherclown (talk) 21:02, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

G'day, cobbers,

I found one more missing little lamb. George Goodman Simpson was hiding out in Above the Trenches, p. 339. I did not add a cite for him because your citation system is completely foreign to me (no pun intended). At any rate, I did not wish to chunter over your quite presentable list with a poorly done cite. Could some good soul please take care of that?

Thanks, George, I've added that for you. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 10:28, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Good work fellas. Thanks for this. Anotherclown (talk) 21:58, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
