This page is appropriate as a list of link that allow users to go directly to information about available feed readers.

There are already reviews of the feed readers that use prose. Thx 198.163.55.2 (talk) 02:47, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are problems

[edit]

The information of each reader shoult be more verbose. Most important pieces of information are the type of user interface (pop-up, ticker, browser plugin, ...) and the formats supported. There should be also something about the update time of each software – are these programs still popular and competitive?

What a pity, my opinion is that the feed readers provide some of the most important services in the internet. (My favorite is FeedPopper, an attractive pop-up tool for MacOSX from http://www.p-edge.nl/.)

Removed Tag

[edit]

I've removed the tag. The article name is List of feed aggregators, and thus should be presented as a list, not prose. Thanks. JameiLei (talk) 09:31, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re-added "Web-based software" heading

[edit]

This appears to have been removed in revision 227195513 along with the section that follows. I assume it was removed by accident as the article makes less sense without it. I suspect it was mistaken for a heading to the section that was removed and deleted along with it. Edam (talk) 18:34, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, you assume correctly.--Tikiwont (talk) 21:15, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

expanding

[edit]

I say there need to be an expansion! Last week i made the comparison and look there: there are many more clients (and i think i need to update the comparison with the clients in the cats) mabdul 0=* 18:26, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Look where? Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 18:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I mean that the clients in the comparison were missing. I updated the list and removed the tag of expoansion! no it is good. mabdul 0=* 14:00, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would like Genwi (http://www.genwi.com) to be listed under the feed aggregators list. I work at Genwi and I did not know if it would be appropriate for me to add the service. Could you kindly review the service to be included in this list or let me know if I can edit and add it myself.

Besides a general purpose feed aggregator, Genwi reads and plays media files as well as subscribing you to your friends' feeds from services they use (like youtube, flickr, etc.)

Here's the latest article from Techcrunch and a link from about.com. http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/11/20/genwi-further-blurs-the-line-between-a-feed-reader-and-a-friend-reader/ http://webtrends.about.com/od/webfeedsyndicationrss/tp/Top-Online-RSS-Readers.htm

Thanks

Wikipedia generally doesn't add things to a 'list of' page until it has it's own article. If you're thinking about starting such an article yourself, be sure to review the guidelines on notability and conflict of interest. - MrOllie (talk) 19:01, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks MrOllie. Genwi now does have a Wikipedia page here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genwi. Would this help to add Genwi to the "list of" page. Please let me know.
