A fact from List of awards and nominations received by The White Lotus appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 8 April 2023 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that at the 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards The White Lotus was nominated in five categories and won in all?
The following is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify this page. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as this nomination's talk page, the article's talk page or Wikipedia talk:Did you know), unless there is consensus to re-open the discussion at this page. Comment: CastJared split the article from its parent article, The White Lotus. I added a further 18 nominations, reformatted for readability and WP:ACCESS, edited references to include winners for WP:VERIFY, and secondary sources where possible, added data-sort-value to improve sorting, added summary tables to the start, and expanded the lead.
Overall: Article is new enough, neutral and plagiarism-free. I am concerned about the reliability of Below the Line, however. And while the article appears to meet the threshold for length (being ~1600 characters), the first two sentences are taken from The White Lotus article, which reduces the character count to ~1300 per WP:DYKSG#A5. The article will have to be expanded or the copied sentences reworded to meet the length requirement, Both hooks are cited, but I find ALT0 rather uninteresting; ALT1 is fine though. However, the wording is rather awkward and I think it could be reworded. The link is also a bit of a WP:EGG, as one would expect it to link to an article about the actual show, not its awards; I would suggest extending the link to "The White Lotus won". QPQ not needed. Hey @Pamzeis:, thanks for reviewing, I have amended the article and above based on your concerns. For Below the Line, it's used on 157 articles per [1] and thought be okay with staff list etc, but have removed that award as couldn't find better ref with winners. Wasn't aware of that copied text rule, have added a sentence on critical response. Ah ok, have rearranged ALT1 and amended the wikilink. Thanks, Indagate (talk) 13:02, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
